First Quarter Moon in Leo: Ignition Point
WhatsApp Channel Launch, US Leadership Crisis YouTube Video and More
Before we get into the astrological commentary, I want to take a moment to share that I’ve been thinking about how to stay more consistently connected with you in a way that feels natural and helpful.
WhatsApp Channel
There’s something convenient about WhatsApp and I thought I’d use a WhatsApp channel to stay in touch with you sharing my astrological thoughts in a more personal way. I quietly started a channel in December 2023 but I never really announced it because life was unfolding in complex ways, and the moment didn’t feel quite right. But now, settled more deeply into my work and with a clearer sense of direction, this feels like the right time.
After the New Moon in Taurus, the energy feels calm and steady, and I’m ready to share more intentionally. I’ll be posting one update a day, something thoughtful and rooted in astrology, meant to inform and support. On rare days, if something important comes up, you might hear from me twice. But your phone won’t be buzzing constantly. I know how precious quiet is.
Like my newsletter, this space will be gentle and respectful. No spam. No pressure. Just grounded, sincere sharing. If you’ve followed me for a while, you already know how much I value your time, your attention, and your trust.
Though my work supports my family, I’ve always believed in giving back. So I’ll continue to offer free newsletters, regular YouTube content, and now this WhatsApp space as another way to stay connected in a more human and meaningful way.
If it feels right to you, I’d be honoured to have you there.
Is there a leadership crisis in the US? 2025 to 2027
I was studying the Aries Ingress charts from 2025 to 2027 cast to the USA and found them intriguing for many reasons, but what stood out was the strong indication of a potential leadership crisis unfolding over the next three years. So, I made a YouTube video exploring it. I’ll be posting one video each week, covering grounded, accessible astrology alongside deeper, more nuanced topics like this one. If you’re curious about life, stars, and meaning, my channel might be a space worth exploring.
Astrological Commentary
The First Quarter Moon
As the Moon continues its journey away from the Sun, gaining light since last week’s New Moon, its presence in Leo infuses us with renewed vitality and a commanding sense of purpose. We are entering a moment that calls for subtle adjustments and the resolution of minor conflicts, refinements that are in order with a greater momentum building within.
This First Quarter Moon brings an internal shift, and we can say the same of Mars moving out of Cancer/Gemini after nearly six months causing a lot of turbulence in our lives. That period tested us repeatedly, presenting moments of vulnerability, drained energy levels, emotional turmoil, and delayed action. Now, with Mars entering Leo, we are stepping into a space where power and purpose converge.
I know I mentioned in earlier newsletters that it was wise to hold back and wait. This is the moment I was pointing toward. The time for caution is behind us. This phase is not only about subtle pivots but also about taking meaningful action. Even if those shifts feel uncomfortable or frustrating at first, taking action will transform your mindset and help you focus with renewed clarity on where you are headed.
We are no longer moving through bushes. We are set free and we need to unleash our full potential. The energy is lifting, and the progress forward is inevitable now. Our job is to utilise the Mars in Leo energy and begin that ride with this first quarter Moon to embrace the momentum, instead of resisting it out of habit or hesitation. The difference between now and the start of 2025 is night and day. There is speed, there is drive, and most importantly, there is direction.
The slight shifts or turning points/pivots that are inherent to this period may appear minor on the surface, but they are actually subtle shifts in reality itself. Embracing them without overthinking will keep us aligned with the larger scheme of things that lie ahead for us. Accept them and move on. This is the time to assert yourself and take control of your life. With Mars now in Leo, there is no room for passivity.
The First Quarter Moon brings the Sun and Moon into a square, which can stir inner conflict and also external tension. Part of that pressure arises from the frustration of not being able to move forward as quickly as we wanted over the past few months. But that friction is not a sign of failure. It is a signal that change is already in motion. What you think was lost time was never truly lost. You were being shaped, fortified, and made ready for what begins now.
Harness this new strength. The fire is here. This is not a restart. This is liftoff. Run!
Inward Glance
Epictetus’ Discourses
Book I - Chapter-I - Essence of Chapters 10-13
By imagining a conversation between Zeus and a rational human striving to live according to nature, perhaps even himself, Epictetus provides remarkable insight and clarity. According to him, had circumstances allowed, he (Gods?) would have ensured both your physical and external freedom, freeing you from all limitations. He would have made us immune to harm, loss, limitation, or control by others. But that is not how the world works. Over the course of a human lifespan, the body is continually subjected to the deteriorating effects of aging, the potential for numerous illnesses, and the inescapable reality of mortality. Material possessions, regardless of their value or sentimental attachment, are inherently susceptible to both acquisition and loss. When freedom becomes dependent upon external factors like wealth or power, its very existence is threatened, rendering it fragile and vulnerable to shifts in circumstance. Therefore, he acknowledges his inability to make those things genuinely and completely belong to us.
Instead of something lesser, what he provides is significantly more valuable and impactful. He offers a reminder that, in a profound and fundamental way, our bodies do not truly belong to us. This is a masterful creation, a testament to the incredible skill and artistry of nature itself, demonstrating its power and precision in crafting something truly exceptional. Yet, the fundamental truth remains that it is merely clay in its present state. This vessel is designed for temporary use; its function is not intended to last long. We use it, but we do not own it. We cannot guarantee its safety or permanence because there is none.
Zeus, being unable to grant us dominion over our physical forms or material belongings, instead bestowed upon us a gift of far greater value. He bestowed upon us a portion of that which is sacred and transcendent, a gift of the divine realm. Through his gift, we received the power to manage our thoughts, control our impulses, and shape both what we yearn for and what we try to avoid, giving us the ability to direct our own lives. He empowered us with the capacity to thoughtfully and prudently react to the various impressions and sensory experiences that we encounter in life’s journey. From a Stoic perspective, this refers to our governing faculty, which encompasses our capacity for reason, judgment, and rational decision-making.
By choosing to nurture and respect this inner strength, living in accordance with it and aligning ourselves with its essence, we can ensure a life free from frustration and despair. We will not succumb to feelings of defeat or helplessness; instead, we will remain resolute and proactive. We will accept whatever happens to us without complaint or protest, remaining steadfast in our resolve. We will not have the need to blame others for our situation or try to win any favor. We will be free from the controlling influence of others, independent from their actions and uninfluenced by their opinions. Internal self-determination and independence will be ours to control.
The speech concludes by posing a question to the audience, leaving them to ponder its implications. “Is this enough?” We need to contemplate the message of these chapters and understand if this is enough for us.
